离愁

It is the pang of separation that spreads throughout
离别的创痛笼罩了整个世界，

the world and gives birth to shapes innumerable in the infinite sky.
无边的天宇变得姿态万千。

It is this sorrow of separation that gazes in silence all nights from star to star
正是这离愁，所有夜默望着星辰，

and becomes lyric among rustling leaves in rainy darkness of July.
并在七月雨夜的萧萧叶片间化做抒情诗。

It is this overspreading pain that deepens into loves and desires, 
正是这弥漫的离恨，深化为爱和欲，

into sufferings and joy in human homes;
 转为人间的苦乐；

and this it is that ever melts and flows in songs through my poet's heart.
正是它通过我诗人的心灵，融化成曲，喷薄而出。
